Water is a much healthier choice than high sugar and calorie drinks like juice or soda, and it is recommended that we should drink at least 8 cups of water a day. However, water can get kind of boring sometimes. Don’t reach for those other not so healthy choices, and make yourself some infused water instead. Its hydrating, and gives you a nice flavorful change without the calories. I made this Strawberry Basil infused water concoction and I really enjoyed it!
Strawberry Basil Infused Water
Ingredients
- 10 Strawberries, quartered
- 8 Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 Quarts Filtered Water
Instructions
- Wash strawberries and basil leaves well.
- Cut strawberries into quarter pieces.
- Put the strawberries and basil leaves into a pitcher.
- Add the filtered water.
- Cover (if the pitcher or container does not have a top, use plastic wrap to cover top opening), and refrigerate.
- Wait at least 3 hours (tastes best if you leave it for 24 hours) to let the flavors infuse the water.
- Pour yourself a refreshing glass and enjoy!
