National doughnut day may have been last week, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have (but healthier) doughnuts now! I wanted to partake in the holiday but most doughnuts are waaaaay too sugary and not so great for your body. So I made my own and these definitely hit the spot, like the donuts that you can buy from here. Also gave them to a co-worker who is a self-proclaimed sugar junkie and she loved them. Enjoy!

My 14 year old daughter used your recipe to make paleo donuts. It’s a simple recipe and absolutely delicious! She’s added a little extra maple syrup to make them sweeter and made a chocolate glaze to pour over them. They were the best donuts I’ve ever tasted! I had to double check the recipe to make sure she used a paleo one. Lol Thanks so much for this post.

Thank you Tamara, so glad that you both enjoyed them and that your daughter got extra creative with the recipe. I think most people get surprised about how “healthy” desserts can actually be very delicious!
