All I can say about these is that they are really good and very easy to make! These treats are a great alternative to a high calorie/ high sugar cookie or brownie and you get protein from the peanut butter. Also, don’t forget that dark chocolate is high in antioxidants.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Matzo
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 32
Ingredients
- 2 Sheets Unsalted Matzo Crakers
- Smooth Natural Peanut Butter
- ¾ bar Ghirardelli Chocolate, Intense Dark Twilight Delight, 72% Cacao (3.5 oz bar)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350°
- Line a cookie sheet with foil. Place two full sheets of Matzo Crackers on foil. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter over both of the crackers.
- In a small pot, melt the chocolate over high heat, stirring constantly (you don't want the chocolate to burn) until it is completely melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the matzo/peanut butter and spread evenly over the crackers. Place into the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes. Check crackers while they are cooking to ensure that they don't over cook. Once you see some of the chocolate start to bubble, remove from the oven.
- Let crackers completely cool and then break/cut into 36 pieces - I used a pizza cutter for this part.
- Keep leftovers in the fridge.
- Enjoy!
